EG acquires Sigma Estimates

09. oktober, 2020

As part of a strategy to strengthen software solutions for the Scandinavian construction market, the software company Sigma Estimates A/S has now been acquired by EG A/S.

Sigma Estimates has +800 customers and +10,000 users internationally. The core product is Sigma, a strong cost estimation platform in the construction industry. The product enables project estimation, bidding, and pre-calculation with 5D BIM/VDC technology, used by craftsmen, contractors, architects, and engineers. Now EG has acquired the company, which Vaekstfonden invested in back in 2011 for the first time.

EG has been a supplier to the construction industry in Denmark for the last 10 years. The acquisition of Sigma Estimates reinforces EG's position as a provider of innovative estimation and management tools for data flows in the Scandinavian construction industry.

At the Danish state’s financing fund Vaekstfonden, they are happy to see Sigma Estimates A/S acquired by one of the big players on the Scandinavian software scene:

“Vaekstfonden invested in Sigma back in 2011 and has supported the company on its journey ever since. EG will bring important network and knowledge to the table, and therefore we are very pleased to see Sigma acquired by EG. I am confident that this deal will bring interesting new opportunities for EG and Sigma in the future,” says Jacob Bratting, partner in VF Venture, Vaekstfonden’s department for equity investments.

EG acquired Sigma Estimates A/S on 1 October 2020.
